World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage for every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade may have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for examplefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.
The player can get a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be expensive, and it is possible that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.
In the endgame you'll find that the best way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and give an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.
Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs and there are also a few rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Utilizing a Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, however, you may also want to consider placing them near critical damage nodes too.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to boost the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Cases gg of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.
When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will get a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage since the item may increase in price even if you do not require it.
Upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it shouldn't be done regularly, as it could waste a lot of resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like a dolphin). The item can be upgraded many times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.
Requirements
The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, weapons, and trinkets) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like crit chance attack damage, additional effects (such as increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to the value of the base item. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. However, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost mentioned above.
